Back to Chicken Charlie

In the interest of filling our bellies without emptying our wallets, we headed to Chicken Charlie yesterday. It was time we checked out their new premises along Banawe anyway, and it was nice to see that they share parking space with Yoh Froz and have a lot more seats now.

Naturally, we each ordered a Charlie’s Bowl, which now comes in a bowl bearing the Chicken Charlie logo and website URL.

Then of course, we had to give their latest offering a try. It’s called Cheesestick Dynamite and features a jalapeño pepper wrapped in a cheesestick, with its stem peeking out, looking much like, hah, a stick of dynamite.

It tasted dynamite, too. It’s not overwhelmingly spicy and the cheesestick and dip counterbalance the pepper well. Too bad we only went for the five-piece one (P60); the eight-piece serving would’ve been a better idea. Definitely another reason for us to go back there!
